For over nine years, our church has had the privilege of meeting together in Wardville and seeking to minister to one another and within this community. We want to express publicly our gratitude to the Lord Jesus for His immense grace in gathering us together, planting us here, and lavishing His love upon us in ways that simply mystify us! God has been faithful beyond our ability to describe. We have grown in love for one another and in unity as a church, and we have seen Him change us through His Word by His grace! Yet these nine years have not been without difficulties. We have faced many challenges in carrying out our ministry, and we have come to believe that it is best that we allow others to pick up the work in Wardville.
After extensive reflection, abundant prayer, and considerable discussions, we have made the decision to sell our building and join with Alpine First Baptist Church. There are numerous reasons for this particular decision, but the greatest reasons are that we want to remain together as a church and that we believe Alpine is a church that shares our heart for ministry and is led by faithful men. While all of this is obviously bittersweet, given the nine years of ministry we have done, we are excited about what the future holds for the saints in both bodies as we become one.
Our final Sunday service in the building in Wardville will be held on December 31, 2023. After that point, we will begin to attend Alpine First Baptist Church starting January 7, 2024, with a view toward joining with them and supporting their ongoing ministries with our resources. Please pray for us and for Alpine FBC; ask God to grant unity and spiritual growth for everyone involved in the days ahead!
