WCC Kids

We provide Christ-centered, fun and safe environments where children can learn about Jesus and apply the gospel in a way this is relevant to their lives and development.
We offer age-graded teaching for children from one year old to 5th grade.

Babies (Ages 0-1)

Sundays 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

We have a classroom set aside for babies of every stage (newborns, infants, crawlers, and early walkers). Generally mothers will bring their babies into this room and allow them to play. Many wonderful conversations are usually shared as the kids play with toys, rest in swings, and or are snuggled on the couches by their mothers. This also serves as our “nursing mothers room.” We keep a television in this room with a live feed of the service.

Toddler Class (Ages 2-3)

Sundays 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Our kids begin the worship service with the body, and they are dismissed upstairs at the start of the sermon for the rest of the service (approximately one hour of our 90 minute service). Here they will play together, hear a short devotional lesson, sing songs, pray, and have a snack.

Bibleville (Ages 4-6 and 7-10)

Sundays 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Bibleville is a more intensive, Bible-focused time for older children. Currently (as of August 2022) we alternate weeks. One week will be ages 4-6 and the other ages 7-10. On off weeks, the children stay in the service. The beauty of this is that for two weeeks, we have the opportunity to disciple kids among their peers in age-appropriate ways, and for the other two weeks, the children have the opportunity to see the wonder of being with the church for the entire service. Bibleville uses an in-house curriculum that moves slowly through the story of the Bible from Genesis-Revelation.

5th Sundays

10:30 AM -12:00 PM

On the handful of months that have a 5th Sunday (about 4 per year), we do not offer children’s classes. The sermon is shortened, and all kids remain with us during the service. We seek to help one another out in these times! Children are always welcome in our service; God made them loud and wiggly, and Jesus invited the little children to come to Him! We want to do the same!

Every Summer

Usually in late July or early August, we have our yearly VBS. We develop our own theme, curriculum, songs, crafts, games, and meals to reinforce what our children are learning in Bibleville. It continues the ongoing story of the Scriptures from the previous year but serves also to kick off the new year of study and fun in Bibleville!
