Life Groups

Life Groups are essential to our mission. We believe that God is a community (one God existing in three persons); therefore, His gospel creates community! We use Life Groups to be the church as a means of fellowship, discipleship, care, and outreach.

Why Lifegroups?

Fellowship

Fellowship: the everyday presence of believers with other believers. This is most often physical presence, but it can be presence through texts, phone calls, and can even be just the knowledge that someone could be there with one phone call or text if need be (Rom. 12:10, 16; 1 Pet. 4:9; and Heb. 3:13).

Discipleship

Discipleship: Helping each other become more and more like Christ. In LifeGroups, this includes praying with and for one another, studying the Word together, and accountability (Jas. 5:16; Rom. 5:14; Col. 3:16; and Heb. 10:24-25).

Care

Care: Pastoral care happens best in community. This isn’t only about the catastrophic events. It’s walking with each other through the everyday, ordinary events in life that stress us out, cause us anxiety and worry, and we want to handle in a Christlike way (Gal. 6:2).

Outreach

Outreach: All members of a LifeGroup should have someone in their sphere of life that they are pursuing with Gospel intentionality. LifeGroups as a whole should be praying for the salvation of each of those people and looking for ways to interact with them. In addition, each LifeGroup is on mission in Wardville, striving to pray for and minister to its residents in various ways (Mt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; and 2 Cor. 5:20).
